It recruits native speakers of those varieties, verifies them by hand, and matches them with learners for live video lessons. Tutors can offer a free 15 minute trial. Bernaly also publishes a free dialect translator at bernaly.ch/translator that anyone can use without an account. The mission is to keep Switzerland's linguistic richness within reach, including its smallest national language, Romansh, spoken by fewer than 60,000 people.
